At Texta we live by the written word including content marketing and e -mail marketing. We have therefore boiled our experience down to six tips on how to kick start your startup with the right content that hits the spot. Read on here and get insider tips on how to get off to a good start.
Write directly to your target audience
Before you throw yourself into writing a lot of content, it is important that you understand well and thoroughly in who your target audience is and what characterizes them. Only when you know who it is you are approaching can you write texts that hit the spot on their needs.
There are several ways you can take a closer look at your target audience. If you are getting started and if you have a website, you can use Google Analytics to gain insight into what characterizes those who visit the page.
Alternatively, you can also take a closer look at the people who have already purchased your product or service. Are there any special characteristics, challenges, needs etc. that are going again?
Look at your competitors
It can be a bit of a mouthful to find out what content you should focus on at all. If you are on a completely bare bottom, you can take a closer look at your competitors. It gives a pretty good impression of what to take a closer look at your site.
For example, it may be:
- Category pages
- Product pages
- Services pages
- FAQ pages
It is important to point out that you should be inspired. It is strictly forbidden to "borrow" something. Therefore, use Sneak Peaket to suck a lot of inspiration for you so you can make a plan for what you need to make content for.
Make a keyword analysis and be present on the correct keywords
One thing is that you can go to your competitors to get some inspiration. Another thing is that you have to be present when your potential customers are looking for you and what you offer.
Therefore, we always recommend that you do a keyword analysis before you start anything. The keyword analysis gives you a sense of which keywords are relevant to you to focus on - and which ones you need to prioritize first.
There are several tools you can use to do keyword analyzes on. At Texta we use Ahrefs ourselves. However, you can also use Google Search Console or other tools on the market. However, you should be aware that there may be a difference in the results from tool to tool.
Extra Tip: When you are working on a keyword analysis, you can also make a content gap analysis. Here you look at what keywords your competitors are ranking on which you do not arrange. There is therefore a lot of gold to pick up in such an analysis.
Make a roadmap and get the full overview
Content can be very comprehensive. Therefore, keeping your tongue straight in your mouth when you get started. We have to disappoint you that you can't do it all at once. You have to take it in several steps to ensure the high quality of everything you make. We therefore recommend that you make a roadmap.
A roadmap is an overview of all the things you must have done in connection with your content strategy. It is a timeline where you spread out all your activities, so you know when to do what and how long it is. If you are in several who are in the production of content, you can also advantageously indicate who is responsible for the different processes.
A roadmap makes it much easier to focus on the most important thing first and thus get it all done in the right order. It is therefore Time Well Spent to work it out before you start the real content work.
Content: Think yield and benefits rather than technical specifications
Now we have looked at all the initials you need to control before you start the content execution. Now we zoom in on how to sign directly into the hearts of your target audience so that they take out the mole.
For the vast majority of target groups, it works really well when you familiarize yourself with their wishes, challenges and needs and articulate it. It's something your target audience can not recognize and you already have their attention.
Focus in your texts on telling you what benefits and benefits are investing in your product or service. Our experience tells us that it seems far better than disks up cold, technical facts about your product or service.
Size and Development are connected when you write Content
Now you have really started typing on the keyboard. However, do not put the keyboard away from you too soon. The length often has a pretty big impact on how well your content performs when it comes to organic locations.
Therefore, make sure you get written adequately so that Google catches your eye on your content and honors with a high location - where the turnover is.
Of course, it will be very different how much text is needed. It depends on the industry, the topic in question and how high the competition is on that keyword.
To get a praise about how much to write, take a closer look at the search results that come to the top of Google when searching for that keyword. For example, if the first three results have 1,000 words on the keyword page, you also need to style after having 1,000 words on your page - and preferably a little more to increase the chances of overtaking competitors.
However, an increased length should not be at the expense of quality. Quality above all. It is important to write behind the ear.

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling Gotta make you understand
- Never gonna give you up
- Never gonna let you down
- Never gonna run around and desert you
- Never gonna make you cry
- Never gonna say goodbye
- Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long Your heart's been aching, but you're too shy to say it Inside, we both know what's been going on We know the game, and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling Don't tell me you're too blind to see
